Destination Honeymoon’s & What to Wear | Dialight Studio

Updated: Dec 8, 2021

In a post pandemic world what does one wear on a destination honeymoon? While it’s true that only a handful of couples are partaking in lavish celebrations, many of Dubai’s elite are utilising the current window of travel to celebrate their unions overseas and so we return to the pressing question; what does one wear on a destination honeymoon? We compiled an array of looks and brands as favoured and inspired by our clients.

Nothing can beat the giddy feeling of jet setting for your honeymoon and it wouldn’t be proper to travel without your most plush attire. Throw on a pair of tapered Balenciaga track trousers and pair it with a supple Celine shrug. Slouchy, comfy and effortlessly chic. For footwear? Chanel trainers never steer you wrong while Gucci’s emerald green Jackie is all you need in-hand for travel essentials.

Your first breakfast as a couple is a jubilant one. Look to the lightweight but engaging print of Ulla Johnson to guide you through the morning into the afternoon. Pair with Giuseppe Zanotti’s retro-pink stilettos and Gucci’s oversized shades and you’re set for the day, be it antique shopping or café hopping. A plush velvet jacket will also help evade chilly climes.

You can never go wrong with a statement black dress, especially for evening excursions. Throw on Mara Hoffman’s ruffled black number with some sparkling Louboutins and up your texture-game with a deep velvet Lady Dior bag. De Grisogono’s statement earrings will take care of the rest while a snug Golden Goose coat adds just the right pop of colour.

Your lingerie is just as important as your daywear. Classics are favoured by most brides, but in our vast experience we recommend pieces that compliment your personal intimate’s style. However, one thing that you should never compromise on is quality and La Perla never fails to deliver, look to Mach & Mach’s coveted stilettos and your signature

fragrance ( Christian Dior’s J’adore is a regional favourite) to elevate the look.
